U.S. Men’s Beach Volleyball Team was stunned today with loss to Latvia. They were feeling confident that they would medal in these Olympics as they were ranked No1 in the world entering the Olympics.(seeded 4th at qualifications)

Winning the first set 21-19, they squandered their lead with a loss in the 2nd set 18-21 and 11-15 in the 3rd set.

The Latvian team was seeded 17th in the 24-team bracket.
